My Personal Statement of Faith

I Believe that there is ONE God eternally existent in three persons – God, the Father; God, the Son; God, the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28: 19

I Believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son but that He came to earth as a fully human being, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love. John 1: 14-18, 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18

I Believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:7

I Believe the Bible to be to be the inspired and the only infallible written Word of God. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17

I Believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.

I Believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world. John 14: 16-17

I Believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer and eternal punishment for the unbeliever. Matthew 25: 31-46, Revelation 20: 10-15, Matthew 7: 21-23

I Believe that Christians should regularly celebrate Holy Communion/The Eucharist to remember Christ and what He accomplished on the Cross. I do not believe in transubstantiation, i.e. that the bread and the wine become the body and blood of Christ, but that they are symbols representing His body and blood. Luke 22: 14-20

I believe that God intended humankind to be stewards of His Creation, to treat it with love, compassion and respect. Psalm 24:1, Colossians 1: 16-17
